Dennis retires after 13 years at Denham Manor

Dennis Murgett, our dedicated SMO at Denham Manor Nursing Home in Denham, Buckinghamshire, has finally made the decision to retire. Dennis has been with us for 13 years and during this time has built up years of friendships with his fellow colleagues, the residents and their families. Dennis treated the residents like his own family, always popping in to say hello with a friendly smile. One resident in particular sticks out in Dennis’ mind as this resident was a big football supporter and Dennis would always go and speak to him to see if he had watched the latest match, or to update him with the football results. Dennis was often caught having a chat and laugh with the residents and their family members, who will all miss him greatly.

Home Manager Julie Twidle said, “Dennis is a very kind and friendly man and a pleasure to work with, he is never too busy to help anyone and always goes the extra mile for Denham Manor. We are all one big family and he will be sadly missed by all.”

On Dennis’ last day he was presented with a signed football shirt, along with a small party and cake. We all hope you thoroughly enjoy your retirement and don’t forget to come back to visit!

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
