The home was rated as providing a ‘good’ care service across all five of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) categories – safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led – in the inspection which took place in August.

Part of the Caring Homes Group, At Deer Park View care home we provide residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 60 elderly people. It is one of Caring Homes’ newest care centres and benefits from our many years’ experience of providing care of the highest standard. Residents and their relatives were very positive about the home. One person said; “The staff are brilliant, they all want to help and nothing is too much trouble.” Another added; “Staff are all lovely, they are dedicated and I’m very happy here.”

The home’s management team were seen to be approachable, responsive and encouraged feedback as well as consistently monitoring and assessing the quality of the service provided.

Isabella Mackenzie, Home Manager, said: “At Caring Homes we want to ensure that our home is just that – a caring home. We are all extremely happy that the CQC inspectors have recognised the high standards at Deer Park View.”
