Deer Park View hosts vintage tea party for National Care Home Open Day

Local Deer Park View care home threw its doors open this Friday to host a vintage tea party in support of National Care Home Open Day (NCHOD).

The purpose built home, part of the Caring Homes group, used the event as an opportunity to get to know the local community further through hosting the fun-filled event with live entertainment.

The staff and residents of the Bushy Park Road home were joined by the local police community support team, the local vicar and members of the local community. Home Manager Isabella Mackenzie was pleased with the turnout on the day:

‘This was a very important event for us. The day offered a great opportunity to offer people a taste of life at Deer Park View.

We are thrilled with the support we received on Friday. Such was the success that a number of the families who visited have said they will be returning to visit the home regularly.’

Located opposite Bushy Royal Park, Deer Park View is a care home providing residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 60 elderly people. The home is run by the family-owned Caring homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
