Day Trip to Norfolk Show Grounds Spring Fling Event

Some of the residents and staff at Ivy Court Care Home in Norwich took a day trip out on the 11th April to the Norfolk show grounds Spring Fling Event.

Yvonne Mills and Audrey Senior had a wonderful time learning about different farming machinery, including that the large combine harvester can gather enough grain to make 80,00 loaves of bread and costs £1500 in diesel to run each day.

The group also saw a sheep dog demonstration which was very amusing as the sheep fought back, and the farm yard shed was very lively with piglets and lambs. There were lots of emergency vehicles and children putting out fake fires.

At Ivy Court we provide specialist residential, nursing and dementia care in a purpose built environment. We continuously improve the lives of our residents through offering wide ranging services, activities and events, both in and outside of the home involving members of our local community as often as possible.
