Creative Minds visit Kingsclear

The residents from Kingsclear Nursing Home in Camberley enjoyed a visit from Creative Minds this week.

Creative Minds are an artist community who firmly believe that art (visual art, craft and sculpture) should be accessible to everyone. Not only should people be able to access art, art should be easy for them to understand and enjoy. Creativity is an innate ability that we all possess, which is applied to our daily lives in a huge variety of ways. The art sessions run by Creative Minds enable the residents to embrace their creativity and enjoy the creative process rather than worry about the finished result.

The sessions have many proven benefits for the participants such as boosting their self-confidence and esteem, increasing cognitive stimulation, and they improve dexterity and motor skills. Residents also socialise with each other and many make speak to others they haven’t before.

Kingsclear Nursing Home in Camberley is our brand new luxury offering, designed around the needs of its residents, providing a smooth transition into a home where care is a vocation, and interaction is paramount. Kingsclear provides the highest level of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 90 residents.
