Rendlesham Care Centre in Suffolk has been rated as ‘good’ in all areas of its service, according to the latest inspection of the home by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Liz Slight, Home Manager at Rendlesham Care Centre, said: “We are very happy at the praise we received and our staff worked together really well to achieve this rating.
“Our home is a focal point for the village, we have lots of local staff working here providing care for residents and we are all extremely proud of our achievement.”
The CQC report found Rendleham Care Centre to be good in all areas, as a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led service.
The report praised the care taking place at Rendlesham Care Centre, it said: “People were supported by sufficient numbers of staff who were trained and supported to meet the needs of the people who used the service.”
And the report continued: “Staff respected people’s privacy and dignity and interacted with people in a caring, respectful and professional manner.”
Rendlesham Nursing Home provides nursing and specialist dementia care in a peaceful location of rural Suffolk. The home is made up of three self-contained communities living in one location and has a very homely living environment.
The dementia care provided at Rendlesham Care Centre has been designed to meet standard of the University of Stirling’s Dementia Services Development Centre, which is renowned as a world leader in the field of Dementia care.
