Coxhills Macmillan Coffee Morning

Coxhill Manor in Woking were proud to be part of The World’ s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 27th September.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer.

Our beautiful conservatory, decorated in the Macmillan colours – was alive with residents, families, chatting and laughter. The cakes, made by staff and family members, went down a treat with the teas and coffees – so a huge thank you for the time and effort that went into the baking.

We had a ‘Guess the number of cherries in the cake game running throughout the morning. Resident Sheila got the closest guess and won a bottle of Sherry!

Macmillan is a charity close to a lot of our hearts and many of us have been touched personally by the wonderful care and support Macmillan bring in the hour of need.

Thank you to all who supported in making it a fun, social morning. Not forgetting that  every donation for a cup of tea or coffee and slice of cake makes a huge difference in the lives of people facing cancer. Donations throughout the morning helped Coxhill raise £100 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you.

And of course – Thank you Macmillan.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely

Paul Jeffery – Chief Executive Officer

Frank Cummins – Clinical Director
