Coppice Lea raise money for Alzheimers Society

This week Coppice Lea care home in Merstham took part in the Alzheimers Society’s Cupcake against dementia event.

16 June marked 24 hours of buttercream heaven. Proudly supported by woman&home, Cupcake Day was a chance to bring together friends and family to help raise money for Alzheimer’s Society (and indulge in some delicious cakes).

Cupcake Day was whisked up by Alzheimer’s Society to help raise funds for people affected by dementia. £40 could pay for a person living with dementia to attend one of the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Cafés for two months, where they can share stories and advice with people who understand what they are going through.

Our chef at Coppice Lea cooked up some lovely recipes from the cards that were provided for our residents, families and friends. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed them, we are still counting the funds raised.

Well done everyone!
