Claydon House Team Win Top Award

Caring colleagues at Claydon House, Lewes, are celebrating their success at Caring Homes Group ‘Recognition Awards’.

Claydon House won Best Residential Team of the Year, sponsored by John Cobb Consulting Ltd, for their encouragement of residents to maintain their independence and make choices that affect their wellbeing and the running of the home. The judges also noted that the team deliver a truly people-centered service. The team were particularly delighted as this is the second-time in a row they have walked off with this top award.

The award was announced by one of the original professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing; producer and entertainer, Brendan Cole, at a gala ceremony on 14th June at the Heythrop Park Resort, Oxfordshire.

Caring Homes Group is celebrating its 25th year in the care sector and was founded in 1994 by Helena Jeffery and her son Paul, on an aspiration to provide a caring home for each resident and a desire to provide everyone with the opportunity to continue to live life to the full through better quality, care and support. The company is still family-run and has proudly been the winner of many industry and regional awards over the years.

Paul Jeffery, CEO, Caring Homes Group, adds: “It is very important that we celebrate success, not only of our finalists but also the successes achieved every day by thousands of our colleagues caring for some of the most vulnerable in our society. I am extremely proud that in our 25th year we are all colleagues, a team, a family.”

At Claydon House we provide residential, nursing and dementia care. We continuously improve the lives of our residents through offering wide ranging services, activities and events, both in and outside of the home involving members of our local community as often as possible.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
