Claydon House group explore Sussex landmarks

A group from Claydon House took to the road this week as they visited the stunning Lancing College Chapel, one of Sussex’s most famous landmarks, followed by tea at Shoreham Airport.

According to the VisitBrighton website, Lancing Chapel is ‘the largest school chapel in the world’ and has much to see including a wealth of tapestries, stained glass and carvings.

The trip formed part of the activities programme devised by the residents during the regular Residents Activities Forum meetings, as described by Claydon House Activities Coordinator Emilie Watson:

“At Claydon House all outing destinations are chosen by our residents at our quarterly Residents Activities Forum. Life is for living and we empower our residents to do just that. They not only choose outings but they design the entire activities program and what activities are included.”

Claydon House is run by family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery. The home provides care and nursing support for up to 47 people in a sought after residential area of Lewes.
