Christmas Shopping at Oaken Holt

Two Oaken Holt nursing home residents, Christine and Eileen decided it would be nice to go Christmas shopping and ensure they had stocked up on all their gifts and cards for their families and loved ones.

So when they asked if we could take them, we were only to happy to help and arranged a trip out for them in our mini bus.

Off we went on a trip to Millets Farm Garden Centre and Nursery at Frilford Heath. We left in the minibus and on the journey there they enjoyed the snowy scene, as we had a snow fall on Sunday and Monday.

It was such a pretty picture like the Christmas cards they were hoping to buy. They had an enjoyable hour visiting the shop especially the beautiful Christmas display and commented they found the singing reindeer very amusing.

The display featured several themes including The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, a unicorn and woodland scenes. It was very magical.

To end the day, we finished the afternoon with a cup of tea and piece of cake. After all, it is Christmas.
