Christmas preparation at Home of Compassion

On a cold and frosty morning, we decided to take the bull by the horns and embark upon erecting the Home of Compassion’s main Christmas tree. Our residents take an active interest in this festive task and we set to work with aplomb.

Taking pride of place in our bistro, which overlooks our cold and wintery gardens, the tree will be the centre of attention this month, so great care was taken in the placing of all the baubles and trimmings.

Many seasonal tunes were sung, some out of key, but we didn’t care. Astonished that Janet knew all the words to the Twelve Days of Christmas and put the rest of us to shame.

At one-point Charlee, our Health and Wellbeing Coordinator, tumbled into the tree and John dryly declared that the tree was trying to eat her.

We have to admit we are incredibly impressed with our decorative work.
