Cholsey Primary School visit Huntercombe

Residents at Huntercombe Hall nursing home in Henley-on-Thames were thrilled to have some welcomed visitors this July. Students from Cholsey Primary School in Wallingford visited the home and entertained residents with their renditions of music from The Jungle Book.

“Our residents and staff really love having visitors into the home” said Bernie Boyle, Home Manager; “We particularly enjoyed the visit from the primary school children as they managed to get some of our residents’ to sing along to songs from The Jungle Book which was fantastic to see! Our residents really enjoyed talking to the children and watching their performance. We hope the students and staff from Cholsey Primary School come to visit us again soon.

Huntercombe Hall nursing home in Henley-on-Thames provides residential, nursing and nursing dementia care for up to 42 elderly residents. The home is located in the charming village of Nuffield, in Henley-upon-Thames.

The building itself has a unique and varied history. The Hall played a significant role during World War Two, playing host to Rudolph Hess and being visited by Winston Churchill on several occasions. The Hall’s historic character has been preserved following its conversion into a care home.

Residents at Huntercombe Hall are able to enjoy a diverse and varied activities provision, organised by the Activities Coordinator on a weekly basis. Activities and events are designed to assist with residents’ mental and physical wellbeing, which is of the utmost importance at the home.
