Chefs are cooking up a storm at Coxhill Manor

We are very lucky to have three exceptional Chefs here at Coxhill Manor in Woking.  Richard Coles (Head Chef), Robert John and Monica Leigheb who ensure our residents meals are of the highest standard in terms of quality, nutritional value and presentation.

Mealtimes can often provide a structure to the day, and allow everyone to come together to enjoy the homemade freshly cooked food, a glass of wine if they wish and of course each other’s company. Three course fine dining is offered every lunch and evening in our dining areas.  Sometimes our residents may prefer lighter meals in their rooms and whatever the preference, our chefs will always oblige. They ensure variety and choice is offered at each meal.

Richard, Rob and Monica take time to get to know our residents, and are attentive to individual likes, dislikes and dietary requirements.

Nutritionally balanced ‘finger food’ meals are prepared to help residents who can no longer manage a knife and fork and enables them to maintain their independence.

Some residents have chewing or swallowing challenges and are therefore on soft or puree diets, but that doesn’t stop their meals being presented in a visually pleasing way as presentation and appearance can have a big influence on stimulating appetite. Tools and moulds are used to make pureed meals look as close to the original meal as possible and our chefs ensure they look appealing and hold nutritional value.  After all,  they say you eat with your eyes first!

A happy dining experience wouldn’t be complete without our mouth-watering sweet trolley and we all look forward to the delicious homemade birthday cakes, complete with candles of course that are freshly baked for each and every resident on their special day.  There is always plenty enough for everyone at Coxhill Manor to enjoy a slice… or two.

But that’s not all… our Chefs are a much loved and integral part of the Coxhill Manor Family. The banter and laughter they bring to the kitchen certainly makes it the heart of our home.

Friends and Family are always welcome to join us at mealtimes – just don’t forget to book.!

Thank you Richard, Robert and Monica from all of us.
