Brook House Charity Walk
Brook House Care Home organised an Easter community walk to raise money for charity and the turn out was wonderful. The event was setup to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society which is such a worthwhile cause, the residents and team from the home were joined by relatives, local community members, the local neighbourhood police officer and Rosy the dog!
Everyone met outside the home and then walked 2k around the local area including the recreation park before returning back to the home. After reaching out to the charity prior to the day there were badges available as well a literature for people to read about everything that the charity does and how the fundraising would help.
Home Manager, Sarah Jane said "It was such a wonderful event, we were so lucky with the weather and it was lovely to see so many people coming out to enjoy the sunshine and the occasion."
In total everyone raised £108 and as it proved so popular the home has decided to make it an annual event - so everyone get their trainers ready for next year as the home would love for you to join them!
