Belmont House Light Up Blue for World Alzheimer’s Day

24th September 2021

On Tuesday 21st September, Belmont House Nursing Home, in Sutton, joined those in our Dementia Friendly Community by lighting up blue on World Alzheimer's Day. The Light Up London campaign is a Dementia Friendly London initiative to light up venues, businesses and organisations across the city with blue lights on World Alzheimer’s Day, Tuesday 21st September.

Our staff and residents loved getting involved by dressing in blue and decorating our lounges and dining rooms. On the evening, our balconies shone blue to stand and support our Dementia Friendly Community.

We enjoyed an afternoon of sweet treats from our Chef Nelson, and music delights from Vintage Ruby. Our residents loved dancing to some of their Jazz, Swing and Rock ‘N’ Roll favourites.
