Belmont House Celebrate Platinum Jubilee
Belmont House Nursing Home had a wonderful day celebrating Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Residents and their loved ones joined us to commemorate the Queen's seventy years of service. It was a pleasure, as always, to have Madam Mayor of Sutton, Councillor Trish Fivey join us to celebrate.
As part of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Belmont House are supporting The Queen’s Green Canopy. This is a unique tree-planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee. Belmont House have chosen a rosy, Pink Flamingo tree and with the support of Madam Mayor of Sutton, Councillor Trish Fivey, we planted the tree at the front of our lovely home.
Earlier this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. This marked her 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
Our day was filled with delicious food, great entertainment, and the best company. We were lucky with the weather, as the sun shone throughout the day. Plenty of laughter, dancing and singing, smiles all around!
On returning to Belmont House, Madam Mayor of Sutton, Councillor Trish Fivey, said “It’s a pleasure to be warmly welcomed back to Belmont House today, the last time I visited I had to complete an LFD test and everyone had to wear a mask, but it’s great to be back and to be able to celebrate and see the faces under the masks today”.
