It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Southlands Place

At Southlands Place care home in Bexhill-on-Sea, it’s beginning to feel and look a lot like Christmas, as we are busy getting ready for the festive season.

We are starting to make Christmas decorations in preparation at our weekly Crafty Club, which we hold here at our home in collaboration with Dementia Support East Sussex.

We are loving our new ornament arrangement at our Barista Bar – who knew you could use muffins as Christmas tree decorations.  Not sure they will last long enough to go on the tree though!

We have lots of festive and seasonal fun planned for our residents, team and welcome guests over the next few weeks ranging from:

8th December: Featuring a theatre production, ‘A Christmas Fairy Tale Adventure’ by the Lantern-Tree Theatre Group.

17th December: Our Children’s Christmas Party with a very special visitor. Yes, Santa’s taking time off his busy schedule and coming to visit us at our home! Come and find out if you’ve been naughty or nice.

20th December: we will opening our doors and hosting our ‘Residents and Family Christmas Party’ with the fabulous entertainer Pete Prescott, who will be singing and bringing lots of cheer!

These are just a small selection of the fun we have planned and we can’t wait. Roll on December – it’s going to be a cracker of a month.

Come back to our news area for more stories and updates during December on our Christmas festivities.

At Southlands Place we provide the highest standards of residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 71 elderly people.
