Awards galore at Moorlands Christmas Fayre

Residents and staff at Moorlands Care Home in Surrey got into the festive spirit recently as they held their annual Christmas fayre.

A number of staff awards were handed out as part of the festivities, recognising hard work throughout the year. Moorlands have a number of unpaid volunteers who help out with activities and they were also presented with gifts of appreciation.

There were also prizes on offer for the winners of the Christmas card competition from local Lightwater School.

Located on the edge of the vibrant village of Lightwater in Surrey, Moorlands provides residential and nursing care for up to 40 elderly people in a bright and homely environment. The home’s semi-rural location offers a tranquil setting within easy reach of the village’s many amenities.

Moorlands was originally a large Edwardian family home and now provides the highest standards of residential, nursing and palliative care in an environment that retains a real home from home feel. Residents’ bedrooms and all communal areas are finished to a high standard. This attention to detail is replicated in Moorlands’ care provision. The home enjoys an excellent local reputation for care and maintains strong links with the community.
