Award Winning Caring Homes goes from Strength to Strength!

Caring Homes Group’s outstanding reputation for excellence in care provision and infrastructure continues to grow as staff and services are recognised at some of the most prestigious industry awards across the nation.

In November, Moyra Logue scooped the award for Special Needs Manager at the National Care Awards 2010. Moyra runs Clare House, our specialist residential service for people living with Prader Willi Syndrome, in Dunblane. Other worthy finalists at the Awards were Carol Corstin in the Care Training Coordinator category and Tracey Hannam of Ferfoot in the Care Marketeer role.

We’re leading the field in terms of specialist provision too. At the National Dementia Care Awards, our finalists included Rendlesham in the Dementia Exterior category with its Forget Me Knot Garden, and Consensus Support Services’ new home at Ty Hendy in Wales, in the Best Dementia Provider category.

Ty Hendy has also just been announced as one of three finalists for the ‘Specialist Dementia Care’ category in the renowned Pinders Healthcare Design Awards. Ty Hendy provides a range of residential support types for people living with a learning disability who have also been diagnosed with a form of early onset dementia and is the only service of its kind in Wales. The winners will be announced in March 2011.

Paul Jeffery, Chief Executive of Caring Homes Group says:

“We are absolutely committed to investing in the best staff and the best services so that we can deliver the very highest standard of support to every single person we are privileged to provide care for.

It is wonderful to see that investment at work, and for Caring Homes Group to receive these plaudits from our peers. My congratulations go out to all of our award winners and finalists and I look forward to seeing them joined by many more in 2011.”

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
