An Exciting Year Ahead at Oak Manor

We are pleased to report that our Oak Manor Care Home in Dereham, Norfolk, is meeting all of the Care Quality Commission’s Standards You Have the Right to Expect, details of which can be found at

Our Activities Coordinator Billy McKee has been flushed with success recently, adding a Caring Homes Award for Ancillary Worker of the Year in February 2012 to his National Dementia Care Award for Activities Coordinator of the Year in November 2011. His best-practice has been, and continues to be shared with all of his colleagues at Oak Manor. The introduction of a pet enclosure with rabbits and guinea pigs, alongside two cats and a dog, has also added to the domestic nature of the home.

The home’s Head Chef, Zelia Monteiro, herself a Caring Homes Award winner in 2011, is also pleased to have maintained her 5-star food hygiene rating. This complements Oak Manor’s Hospitality Assured accreditation which is the quality standard created by the Institute of Hospitality specifically for customer facing businesses.
