Alzheimers coffee morning at Ivy Court

At Ivy Court Nursing Home in Norwich  held a coffee morning to raise money for The Alzheimer’s Society at the end of the month in the Bistro.

The coffee morning was themed around Halloween with pumpkins, balloons and banners decorating the Bistro, and a couple of beautiful floral displays. Cakes were donated and some were made by family members, the care team and the Chef at Ivy Court.

As there were some cakes left over after the coffee morning and cake sale had finished, Summer and Emma visited the local fire station and businesses in the business park where they managed to sell the last of the cakes. John, a volunteer at Ivy Court, also helped out on the day. We are very lucky to have volunteers like John who regularly helps with the coffee and tea.

Thank you to everyone that helped make the day so successful, we raised just over £100 for the great Alzheimer’s cause.

These days are great for the residents at Ivy Court as it brings them together with friends, family and the local community providing them with a sense of belonging and with the addition of raising money provides as sense of accomplishment and self worth, giving back to the community.

Ivy Court provides specialist residential, nursing and dementia care in a purpose built environment for up to 71 elderly people.
