Afternoon tea at Joy’s

Afternoon tea was on the menu this week as several of the residents of Bradbury House visited a beautiful village garden in nearby Finchingfield.

The garden belongs to Joy, a valuable member of the Bradbury House volunteers group and she prepared a selection of delicious homemade scones, jam and cream, which the residents thoroughly enjoyed.

With the Tour de France having passed through Finchingfield the day before the residents visited, Joy was pleased to give everyone a first hand description of the exciting race activities.

The residents finished their trip off with some ice-lollies before saying goodbye to Joy and her beloved horses. Resident Margaret Thake said ‘I had a wonderful afternoon. It was so kind of Joy to invite us.’
