Abbeycrest say it with flowers

Residents of Abbeycrest enjoy one of our weekly flowering arranging activities that are held every Monday morning.

They gather together in the lounge and create some marvellous arrangements which are then displayed around the home for all to see. They really add a personal touch and a splash of colour to the home and our residents take great pride in their displays.

At Abbeycrest we believe this is not only a good social activity when they can all get together, have a chat and interact with each other, but it also encourages their creative skills with residents taking a keen interest in what flowers to choose, colour schemes and how they will be displayed.

We know flowers can have a really positive impact on their moods and social and emotional wellbeing as they find it relaxing and therapeutic but it also helps them physically by keeping their fingers nimble.

We have a very busy activity schedule at Abbeycrest and our residents really look forward to this activity.
