A taste of China at Knowle Park
Following the success of their recent Mexican themed day, the residents at Knowle Park in Cranleigh were transported to the Far East on this occasion as they hosted a Chinese themed day to belatedly celebrate belated Chinese New Year.
Everyone contributed to the success of a memorable day as the residents of the 19th Century former Manor House enjoyed a traditional Chinese banquet in the colourfully decorated dining room. The feast included Spring Rolls, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Duck and Hoi-sin wraps. In the afternoon the Chinese theme continued with traditional activities, games and music.
Everyone at the home is already looking forward to the next theme day which will be an ‘International’ day, celebrating different cultures from across the globe.
Knowle Park is a magnificent early 19th century Manor House on the outskirts of Cranleigh, Surrey, that has been lovingly restored to provide residential and nursing care of distinction for up to 43 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
