65th Wedding Anniversary celebrated at Belmont House

Belmont House in Sutton, celebrated the 65th wedding anniversary of Marjorie and Jim.

Anniversaries are a special occasion and for those that are not able to spend time together anymore we like to make sure they are able to celebrate together at Belmont. For the special occasion Rob T visited Belmont and entertained the residents and care team. he tells a mixture of jokes, and songs from a cross the spectrum.

Rob is a very distinctive entertainer, with his trademark outfit of Trilby hat and colourful waistcoats. He plays the Ukulele with great skill and versatility, and sings popular songs from George Formby and Abba and anything in between, with a soft but easily heard voice, instilling each with his own unique style.

From soft ballads to rock and roll, nothing it seems is beyond his skill. Both Belmont residents and Staff enjoyed his uplifting performance and light hearted jokes. He was immensely popular with many residents, invoking plenty of smiles, laughter, appreciative applause and even singing along and clapping, waving their arms, and dancing as best as they can manage.

The day was finished off with an afternoon tea for the special couple and the rest of the residents.

Belmont House provides specialist residential, nursing and dementia care in a purpose built environment.
