5 reasons to choose a respite stay this winter

4th January 2023

During the winter season, it might be time to consider one of our short respite stays. Whether you're looking for a short break for yourself, or you're a carer in need of a break and want to ensure your loved one is well cared for, our respite stays are available at nearly every home and offer the same high quality care and attention every resident can expect.

Here are a few reasons you may want to stay with us this winter:

Control your winter costs with our all-inclusive care

Worried about the cost of living? You’re not alone. Enjoy peace of mind with our all-inclusive care fees so you don’t have to worry about increasing costs at home. Instead, you can focus on your own wellbeing and enjoy a rejuvenating break.

By your side day, and night

Unlike care at home, there’s no waiting around. When you rely on someone coming to your home to provide care, you can sometimes end up waiting until the next day to receive the support you need. At our care homes, we are always on hand with care and support when you need it, so if home care becomes unreliable or isn’t enough then we can help, even at short notice. This is especially important during the winter months when illnesses can be more common.

The opportunity to make new friends

Loneliness and isolation can be more common during the dark winter months as it’s easy to hide away from the cold weather and neglect socialising. One great thing about spending time with us this winter is that it's a way to meet people and make new friends. We welcome people from all walks of life into our homes and you'll always find people with shared interests who will soon become friends.

The chance to try new activities or rekindle old favourites

We have regular schedules full of varied activities that include gentle workouts, arts and crafts, afternoon teas and more so there's always something to do. Equally, if you'd rather relax in the living room or spend some time admiring the wonderful scenes outside then you're welcome to do that too.

Enjoy entertainment and visits to the local area

We regularly bring in entertainers to perform for our residents, so if you're a fan of musical acts then there will always be something to look forward to. Similarly, we love taking our residents out into the local area, whether it's a trip to the local garden centre or just popping out for delicious coffee and cake.

If you'd like to enquire about care at one of our homes then just find your nearest home and either give them a call or fill in the enquiry form. A member of the team will get back to you shortly and get things started.
