Ferfoot staff walk up Pen-Y-Fan!

Staff and members of their families from Ferfoot Care Home recently braved the elements and walked up Pen-Y-Fan in the Brecon Beacons to raise money for the Alzheimers Society. We are proud to announce that not only did they reach the summit but they raised over £370 with their efforts!

Being the highest peak in South Wales, the team, undaunted by the challenge ahead, started off on their adventure with great enthusiasm and energy. Donning their walking boots and waterproof clothing they set off to reach the peak and made it, but also managed to take the time to enjoy the spectacular views and breathtaking scenery.

Nicki Stone, Home Manager said; “We would just like to say a big thank to our staff and their families for their achievement. Well done guys.”

We’re looking forward to hearing of their next adventure once they’ve had a well-deserved rest.
