Our Seven Commitments to Dementia Care

Our Commitments

Our seven commitments are the core standards, behaviours and principles that underpin our promise to deliver the best possible care for people living with dementia at our dementia specialist care homes.

We look inwards and outwards: ensuring our residents' wellbeing every day; recruiting and retaining extraordinary people with the right values; and sharing our knowledge with family, friends and the wider community.

1. Knowledge Sharing

We are committed to providing individuals living with dementia and their caregivers with high-quality information about their medical condition and available services, both at the time of diagnosis and throughout their care journey.

We do this in various ways, including one-on-one conversations with residents and their loved ones, as well as events such as dementia cafes and workshops throughout our UK dementia care homes.

We actively engage with the broader community to enhance their support and understanding of those living with dementia. We will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to address local commissioning needs and host community events at our dementia specialist care homes across the UK.

Our dedicated teams will provide personalised dementia care and support by understanding each individual's life history and personal culture, all delivered with kindness.

5. Innovative Living

We take pride in the unique design of our dementia care homes, celebrating the individuality of each one. Residents actively participate in shaping their living environment, and we remain open to adopting new technologies and innovations that can enhance the lives of those with dementia.

This commitment takes all aspects of a living space into account, including lighting, acoustics, colours, textures, and more.
