Exceptional dementia care can only be delivered by exceptional people, which is why we invest in specialist training and support for every team member at our care homes.

Caring for our Teams is Caring for our Residents

We support and enable our teams to deliver outstanding person-centred dementia care with kindness and empathy, helping our residents feel safe and supported.

Our dedicated Dementia Champions also play a vital role in inspiring and motivating their teams and are experts at providing dementia care.

Training Teams for Patient-Centred Care

Our unique, award-winning dementia care training, Living in My World, immerses our team members in what it feels like to live with dementia so they can truly deliver the best care. This gives the team an understanding of how our residents with dementia may be feeling and experiencing day-to-day, allowing them to support resident’s wellbeing compassionately.

Specialist training is also supplied to our chefs and hospitality teams. Food in My World training covers how the team can support residents with difficulties they may experience when eating, monitoring nutrition and hydration and how to adapt meals for those living with dementia.

Our specialist training is regularly updated to ensure we’re up to date with the latest research and guidance. This means our team members, from carers to Registered Nurses, have the right knowledge to help our dementia care patients to the best possible standard.
