Environment
Our dementia care facilities are designed to help residents feel calm and safe, increase independence, and live well with dementia.

Ensuring Residents are Secure and Comfortable
The surrounding environment is very important for people who live with dementia due to a variety of physical, emotional and mental health needs. At Caring Homes, the focus for our dementia care homes is on making people feel safe and secure and creating settings that alleviate any stress and anxiety.
Overall, the best environment for dementia patients is one in which the individual feels safe and cared for. That’s why we’ve taken on guidance from experts in the field of dementia research, as well as the NHS, to create spaces within our dementia care homes that feel like a true home from home.
Our dementia care homes are meticulously designed so that every detail has a purpose - including lighting, acoustics, signage, furnishings, colours, textures, and memory boxes. Ensuring the best quality of life for our residents is our top priority - there are areas of calmness as well as areas for hobbies and activities and wonderful sensory gardens and outdoor space.
