Technology That Cares

Always in the Picture: Care Records

When something changes for a resident, even something small, the right people need to know about it straight away. Our team use Person Centred Software on handheld devices to update each resident's care records in real time, right there and then.

This means care is always based on the most accurate, up to date information available. It also means that if a resident needs a little extra support, the team can see it quickly and act on it. With permissions in place, these records can also be shared directly with GPs and other healthcare professionals, so everyone involved in your loved one's care is always working from the same picture.

No More Worrying About Medication

Getting medication right, every single time, is one of the most important things we do. Our electronic medication management system ensures that every prescribed medication is ordered, delivered and administered accurately for each resident, throughout the day, every day.

For families, this is one less thing to worry about. For residents, it means their health is being managed with the precision and consistency it deserves.

Staying Close, Even When You Cannot Be There

Through an app called Relish, families can stay genuinely connected to daily life in the home, even on the days they cannot visit. The app holds each resident's personal history and interests and is used by our team to record activities, daily highlights and special moments.

You can view photos of your loved one taking part in activities and home events securely, catch up on what has been happening and check the upcoming events calendar ahead of your next visit. It is a simple but meaningful way to feel part of life in the home, wherever you are.

Keeping Your Loved One Safe Through the Night

Falls are one of the most common concerns for older people and their families, and the risk does not disappear when the lights go out. In our homes, we use sensor-activated lighting that can illuminate a resident's room automatically if movement is detected during the night, reducing the risk of a fall in the dark.

We also use acoustic monitoring, which allows our team to check on residents overnight without disturbing them. It means help is always close by, without compromising rest, comfort or dignity.

Recognising Discomfort Before It Becomes a Problem

For residents living with dementia or other conditions that can make it difficult to communicate how they are feeling, knowing whether they are in pain or discomfort is not always straightforward. Our team use an AI-enabled app called PainChek, which identifies subtle facial expressions that may indicate pain, even when a resident cannot express it in words.

This is used alongside the clinical expertise of our nursing and care teams and their daily knowledge of each resident as an individual. Together, they give us the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to changes in a resident's comfort and wellbeing before those changes become a bigger concern.

Speak to our team or book a visit

The best way to understand how technology supports life in one of our homes is to see it in action. When you visit, ask our team to walk you through the tools we use and how they help us care for your loved one every single day.
