We make sure each resident experiences care that's as unique as they are. Which is why we offer a range of care types and duration for individuals or couples.

You'll be in good company this autumn

Book a respite stay for peace of mind

Our short respite stays can provide a crucial break for carers to do daily chores, go on holiday or simply have some well-earned time off whilst their loved ones often enjoy the chance to meet new people and try out new activities.

If your relative has spent time in hospital as a result of a fall, an operation or a major illness, convalescent care provides care and support to help them feel like themselves again.

Residents may be admitted to a care home from the community without needing to complete a 14-day self-isolation period, if they satisfy the requirements. Please ask for details.

Families we’re helping

Keeping things personal

At Guysfield

The wonderful surroundings at Guysfield are matched by the standard of care our team brings residents. We love learning as much as we can about the people we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea, and everything in between.

We give as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run the home and if they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.

Keep doing what you love

At Guysfield Residential Home, there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy – from the craft room to the hair salon, our packed schedule of events and activities, to picnics in the lovely gardens. And if residents prefer to spend one-on-one time with a member of the team, they can read the paper, pop to the shops or have a pint in the local pub. We have strong connections with the Willian community, many of our residents invite them to join in our activities or even run their own here.

Meet the Manager

Pawel Michalewicz

As Home Manager of Guysfield, I lead a professional staff team in delivering the highest standards of residential care for up to 49 elderly people.

Having started as a Care Assistant at Guysfield over 15 years ago and working my way up to Home Manager, I bring stability, continuity and a familiar face to the role. I take my responsibilities very seriously and strive to maintain a safe environment, promote the highest standard of care and make a positive difference to each and every resident’s life.

Guysfield has been such a big part of my life for the past twelve years that I am delighted to continue the good work we do here in delivering the best possible care for our residents.

I strongly believe in maintaining a ‘hands on’ approach to management. I understand the importance of listening to residents, relatives and staff, and the key contribution all of these groups make to the successful running of a care home.

I am keen to take a proactive approach to the training programme within the home, built primarily around delivering highly person centred care for the residents of Guysfield, but also supporting effective personal development for my care team, I am currently working towards my QCF Level 5.

I live just a few miles from Guysfield. In my leisure time I like to take advantage of the picturesque surroundings of the local area, enjoying many outdoor activities and socialising with family and friends.

Living well with Dementia

We are proud to be the only care home group to have our own unique award-winning dementia training ‘My World’ which is accredited by City and Guilds. It highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, in addition to addressing clinical aspects of care.
