Life in a Caring Home is viewed as a continuum of life – an opportunity to gain new experiences and learn new things – whilst maintaining your existing hobbies and interests.

At every Caring Home, there is a dedicated activities co-ordinator who is on hand to support residents in learning new hobbies and maintaining existing ones.

An activities programme is developed by the activities co-ordinators who work in conjunction with the clinical team in reviewing each individuals occupational interests and tailoring an activities programme that addresses them.

"My dad went to Brooklyn House for respite care when we went on holiday. However he was so happy that he wanted to stay there permanently. He really liked all the staff and they were friendly with him too. At every meal, delicious mouth watering food is provided. There is always a cheery welcome when we or his friends visit and someone is always available if there are queries which need to be sorted... carehomes.co.uk" -

"Look no further this is the best! I took the time to visit every nursing home within a 25 mile radius of my home, when looking for the best for my own mother. That was in 2005. My mother was lucky enough to spend the last few months of her life here. In February this year my aunt needed nursing care and I came straight back to Brooklyn. From the moment you open the front door, you know you've found the right place... carehomes.co.uk" -

"I would like to thank you for taking Robin and myself into Brooklyn House back in April. When I had to leave him was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, but I knew he would be in safe hands. Please express on behalf of myself and my family our deep gratitude to the nurses, carers and house staff for the part they played in caring for him. I must mention Linda and Denise (thank you). A very special thank you must go to Helena, I will always remember the care and compassion she gave to Robin and myself the day he died... carehomes.co.uk" -

"I was recommended this care home by a social worker, and found that it lived up to expectations, from first speaking to Melanie the receptionist, to meeting Sarah, the Manager, I came to look with a friend and she made us feel very welcome. I was impressed by all the activities and social events they put on including outings. The staff are lovely and friendly and caring and it is always nice and clean here... carehomes.co.uk" -
