Raise Your Voice in Care at Parris Lawn
Today at Parris Lawn in Lewes we have started a new pilot project called Raise Your Voice In Care, run by Jane & Nancy. The project, also in partnership with Culture Shift & East Sussex County Council, aims to bring singing and music into a care home environment, making it accessible and fun for our residents and staff to use independently.
The first part of the project involves four 20-30 mins live online sessions with Jane and Nancy who will introduce simple vocal warm-ups and then start exploring the voice. The second part of the project will involve staff training, using newly created videos and resources for us to use and enjoy sharing within the care home community. Jane and Nancy will also be giving their support and visiting Parris Lawn as soon as they can.
