Meal out with a resident

A resident at Brooklyn House Nursing Home mentioned to the staff she would love to have a dinner out as she overheard a conversation in between them, then the Chef (Shelly) and two Senior HCA's (Margaret & Sue) who heard her wishes asked if it was possible to accommodate that.

The restaurant was assessed to be wheelchair friendly and the meal was booked. It was a very nice meal and the happiness seen on the resident's face is hard to be described. We try our best to accommodate as much es possible our residents wishes.

Brooklyn House Care Home is a purpose-built home in Norfolk providing nursing care for up to 38 elderly residents.
