International Women's Day at Guysfield

This year staff and residents at Guysfield celebrated international women’s day with pride and joy.

We started off by getting our glad rags on and our favourite jumpers to celebrate women’s day in style. We then went on to enjoy arts and crafts and created our own decorations for the tables. The well-being team made all the women feel very special and prepared a lovely seating area in the dining room to celebrate. We all gathered in the afternoon for a special afternoon tea prepared by our head chef, followed by a glass of wine and a dance and sing song.

Coming to the end of the event our residents made some lovely comments, one of them said “it’s been a long time since I have felt this special”. Happy International Women's day to all the ladies out there,

"Here’s to strong women: May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them."
