Film club at The Pines

The residents at The Pines Nursing Home in Wandsworth enjoy a planned monthly film afternoon.

The residents can choose from an old film or something more recent, that they would like to watch, then sit comfortably in the lounge as they enjoy a film and eat popcorn.

This is a simple activity but it can reduce isolation for residents by bringing them together, stimulate empathy, and depending on the film can provide something to discuss and reminisce about.

The Pines in Wandsworth, London is situated in a beautiful period property and provides an oasis of tranquility in vibrant Putney, providing residential and nursing care for up to 43 elderly residents.
