Embracing Quality Care And Being At The Heart Of The Community

24th January 2024

We have been welcoming residents to Tarring Manor Care Home since October last year.

Overlooking the picturesque Tarring Park, Tarring Manor is becoming known not only as a contemporary, beautifully designed home for residents and families seeking residential, specialist dementia and palliative care, but also for embracing an open, community feel.

We bring together a vibrant lifestyle with the highest quality care and a range of amenities and activities that would be expected of a new, state of the art luxury care home.

Making the most of its lovely location and bringing the ‘outdoors – in’ helps set the home apart. Unusually for a care home, with many balconies adjoined to bedrooms and communal spaces, the home feels in tune with nature, providing wonderful vistas over the local park and South Downs, so loved within the area. A bistro, cinema, and hair salon also make for offering diverse activities and entertainment. We truly feel that seeing is believing.

A family member of the home recently commented, “There’s an abundance of natural light and calming atmosphere at the home.”

Plenty of activities

There are always lots of interesting activities and engaging things happening, not just for residents but for the local community too! No two days are the same. We hold a Dementia Café every month offering a warm and supportive get together for people living with dementia, their families and caregivers to connect, share experiences and find support.

We also hold lunches in the home to help support people in the community facing social isolation to stay connected with the vibrant area in which they live. Our Blue Light Breakfasts hosted for the local Fire Brigade and PCSOs starting in February are sure to soon ‘be on the map’ too.

In March we are introducing our new Garden Club where all levels of experience are welcome to assist our residents. We have been working in partnership with the local community, and the team have built valuable links with local groups, notably the Dementia Hub.
