Blenheim Court's 'Managers Breakfast Club' Makes a Return

15th September 2023

Blenheim Court's 'Managers Breakfast Club' has become a regular activity that residents and the team eagerly anticipate every Tuesday, offering a delightful start to the day.

In the warmer months, the gathering takes place on the terrace while during colder weather, the cozy Bistro provides a warm and inviting setting. Regardless of the location, residents and the team at Blenheim Court Care Home come together to enjoy a delectable, cooked breakfast, complete with pastries, tea, and coffee, all accompanied by the joyful sound of chatter and laughter.

Blenheim Court’s Purpose

The Managers Breakfast Club serves a special purpose within the community. It provides a unique opportunity to bring residents and team members together over a leisurely breakfast, where they can discuss a wide range of topics. The conversations range from current events in the world to the delightful experiences within the Home, as well as brainstorming ideas for future activities.

The club has proven to be a tremendous success, and its significance in the lives of residents is evident. So much so that when it was briefly removed from the activities planner, residents voiced their strong desire for it to be reinstated immediately. Responding to the resounding enthusiasm of our residents, the Managers Breakfast Club quickly made a swift return. The club is just another activity on a long list of things to do at Blenheim Court.

Residents Celebrate Manager’s Breakfast Return

One resident humorously remarked, "The breakfast is always 'egg-cellent. Please keep it going!" The sentiment was echoed by another resident who appreciates the club's warm and welcoming atmosphere, saying, "I enjoy the Manager's Breakfast Club because we can all sit together and chat over a hearty breakfast."

Samantha Booty, Home Manager at Blenheim Court, emphasised the club's importance, stating, "It is a pleasure to meet with the residents and join them for breakfast, creating an informal opportunity to have discussions regarding what is and what is not working as well within the Home. It also builds a more personal relationship with the residents, fostering a sense of community."
