Care Home Open Day - Garden Party

The Pines Care Home in Wandsworth, London is delighted to welcome the community as part of Care Home Open Week.

Spend time with residents, families and our dedicated team while discovering the warm, person-centred residential and dementia care we provide. If you’re searching for a trusted care home in South West London or looking for local community events, we’d love to invite you into our home.

During Care Home Open Week, come and experience global gardens, fresh conversation over a cuppa.

Monday 15th June: Take part in the tranquillity of our Kenyan Tea Garden and Landscape. At 3:00pm, savour authentic Kenyan tea with our residents.

Tuesday 16th June: Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of our Philippines Tropical Garden. From 11:00am, enjoy a colourful flower arranging session, followed by afternoon tea from 1.00pm, serving also a selection of herbal teas, yam cake, and tropical fruits.

Wednesday 17th June: Explore our Mediterranean Herb Garden (Italy). At 11:00am, bake lemon cupcakes or tend herbs with residents. At 3:00pm, enjoy lemon iced tea, tiramisu, gelato, and the cupcakes made earlier.

Thursday 18th June: South African Garden: At 11:00am, watch a short film on Kruger National Park and chat with Heather, our Home Manager. Enjoy Rooibos tea with sweet treats in the morning; baklava and Turkish delight with apple or mint tea in the afternoon.

Friday 19th June: Help us create an English Country and Herb Garden. At 11:00am, participate in planting lavender and herbs and enjoy a creative flower arranging session. From 3.00pm, afternoon tea will be served with a tempting selection of light cakes, sandwiches, and scones.

Our main event takes place on Saturday 20th June from 3.00pm and features:

• A vintage garden party with complimentary food including freshly baked scones - feel free to join in the theme and dress to impress

• Live entertainment to get your toes tapping

• Meet our friendly team and ask any questions you may have about care
