"My Aunt aged 92 has been a resident at Mount Pleasant for 18 months. Her medical condition makes it difficult for her to join in the many activities run by the home. The staff go that extra mile to ensure she remains stimulated and content. Meals are a delight, I feel assured that her every need is well looked after. "The home recently had a major incident which flooded 10 rooms my mothers included). The response and actions of all the staff was excellent, mother was moved, without injury, to another room and we were informed on a regular basis of progress being made to get things back to normal. Nothing was too much for the staff. They are very attentive and try to accommodate the residents needs daily, which at times can be very difficult, but they always do it with a smile." - Philip K

"The home has a good atmosphere, residents are contented and happy. After my aunt was discharged from hospital, the medical staff were of the opinion that she would mainly be in a wheelchair. The care home staff have been instrumental in keeping my aunt mobile. She feels safe and well cared for. Lots of entertainment and activities on offer." - Susan G

"My 92 year old aunt enjoys being a resident. She is quite frail physically and does not participate in the numerous activities available. But that is through choice and the staff however compensate greatly by providing a family atmosphere. The food is great and very varied with lots of choice. "I looked at all homes in the area and found this to be the best. The level of care is excellent. All staff from the manager to the cleaners show concern and respect for the clients. Dignity is paramount. There is a good activities programme for residents with their needs being met daily. Trips to the church, garden centres, town, etc are regular and can be on request. "My Mother who is 93 has been in Mount Pleasant for some 7 years now. She has passed from a cheery resident to one who has now mild dementia. The staff at Mount Pleasant have been so attentive and caring following Mother's progress. She now requires a lot of individual attention at meals, day and night times. "I can only very highly recommend this care home. At the beginning my Mother needed very little help, but little by little her needs have been more severe and the staff have followed her. All the staff, from the handyman, the cleaners, the carers to the manager are always smiling for her and treat her as the most important resident which is lovely for an old lady.
