Why choose Kippington?
The current building dates from 1874 and was a grand family residence formerly known as Kippington Grange. The building’s predecessor was steeped in history, reputedly playing host to Jane Austen in the early 19th century and Thomas Farnaby, scholar and follower of Sir Francis Drake in the 17th century.

Kippington has an outstanding team of highly skilled and passionate support staff. Its manager has a qualified nursing background and leads the professional care team in providing the highest standards of tailored care.

It works to the nationally accredited Gold Standard Framework in palliative care, ensuring the very highest standard of care during a person’s last days. How we ensure the wellbeing of our residents
At Kippington we adopt a best-practice approach as outlined by Stirling’s Dementia Services Development Centre, which is renowned as the world leader in this field. After eight weeks in hospital, we arranged for her to move to Kippington which seemed to be the best choice of homes we looked at.Mum moved to Kippington in Nov 2014 and passed away in Jan 2015. My mother spent the final 8 weeks of her life at Kippington, following a severe stroke and a long hospital stay. She was totally bedridden and did not eat solid food or use any facilities. The care she received from the carers, nurses and management was totally first rate. I do not think my mother could have had better treatment and care. The staff were always willing to discuss and explain anything of concern, The building is old but clean and nicely decorated and thus has plenty of character... carehomes.co.uk - Leslie B Son of Resident/Service User

It was a big thing for Dad to go into a nursing home. As a family we wanted him to be local to where our mother lives. When a place became available at Kippington, we were only too pleased to take that place as Dad had been there for respite on a few occasions. On the respite, he was always very happy and was made to feel part of the Kippington family. Since being a permanent resident, we can only praise all the staff for their care and attention to Dad... carehomes.co.uk - Jo M Daughter of Resident/Service User
It was a difficult time for my mother who is only 64 years young. On our first visit to Kippington as a family we were all surprised and impressed. The staff were all approachable and friendly. There were no nasty smells, everything was clean and attention to detail like flowers in the dining room and fresh fruit and a couple of resident's cats made it all feel like home. The food and choice is all very good... carehomes.co.uk - Debra W Daughter of Resident/Service User
