Located just to the south of Sevenoaks in the Weald of Kent, Kippington care home has been providing residential and nursing care of the highest standard to the surrounding area for nearly 60 years. This beautiful Victorian building was first converted into a care home in the early 1950s and now provides nursing care for up to 52 elderly residents.
Kippington Care Home
The current building dates from 1874 and was a grand family residence formerly known as Kippington Grange. The building’s predecessor was steeped in history, reputedly playing host to Jane Austen in the early 19th century and Thomas Farnaby, scholar and follower of Sir Francis Drake in the 17th century. Today’s residents enjoy the benefits of a substantial investment programme, which has seen the restoration of a range of period features and all rooms and communal areas exceeding every national care standard for nursing homes.
Kippington care home & nursing home in Kent offers a full range of nursing care support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. Kippington operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. In common with all of our homes, Kippington’s manager has a qualified nursing background. The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation and is widely acknowledged as one of the leading care homes in all of Sevenoaks.

I viewed 13 homes and I am pleased I choose this one. I visit a lot and all staff are very good to my mother and nice to me. Her room is small but she spends her time downstairs. The dining room is clean and bright the food is excellent and I can eat with her for £5 a meal. Over all a nice home. My mother is 97.

There always seems to be a happy positive atmosphere in the home. Residents have a choice to join in different activities that are organised. There seems to be a good food choice and attention to detail with flowers on the dinning tables and fruit in the fruit bowls, help make it welcoming and homely. The two resident cats are also entertaining! Staff all seem to be doing a good job and always have a smile... carehomes.co.uk" - Debra W Daughter of resident

It was a big thing for Dad to go into a nursing home. As a family we wanted him to be local to where our mother lives. When a place became available at Kippington, we were only too pleased to take that place as Dad had been there for respite on a few occasions. On the respite, he was always very happy and was made to feel part of the Kippington family. Since being a permanent resident, we can only praise all the staff for their care and attention to Dad... carehomes.co.uk" - Jo Martin Daughter of Resident
It was a difficult time for my mother who is only 64 years young. On our first visit to Kippington as a family we were all surprised and impressed. The staff were all approachable and friendly. There were no nasty smells, everything was clean and attention to detail like flowers in the dining room and fresh fruit and a couple of resident's cats made it all feel like home. The food and choice is all very good... carehomes.co.uk" - Debra W Daughter of Resident
