Located on the western slopes of Tower Hill, just to the south of Dorking in Surrey, Garth House is a beautiful period home of real character that has been sympathetically converted to provide nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 40 elderly people.
Garth House retirement home is a building of some distinction. Dating from the end of the 19th century, the home has been lovingly restored to provide tasteful and elegant living for its residents. Garth House is set within wonderful Mediterranean gardens featuring mature specimen trees, colourful flowerbeds and flowering shrubs, creating a truly relaxing environment.
Garth House’s unique and distinguished character is allied to a reputation for outstanding care provision. The home offers high quality palliative and high end care for residents with higher nursing care needs.
Garth House care home is also ideally equipped to provide residential support for elderly people living with a mild form of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia. In providing specialist dementia care, staff never lose sight of the fact that, first and foremost, Garth House is home to our residents. The home has a truly welcoming ambience and residents benefit from a broad and thoroughly enjoyable range of activities.
The home offers a full range of residential support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. Garth House operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. In common with all of our care homes, Garth House’s manager has a qualified nursing background. The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation.

The 19th century property has a dedicated activities co-ordinator who is on hand to support residents with a tailored activities programme in conjunction the clinical team to match individual needs.
