Firtree House Care Home
The original property has been fully refurbished and benefits from a purpose-built extension and conservatory. Firtree House offers a real home from home ambience, while also being fully equipped to provide nursing care for a wide variety of needs, including acute needs and end of life care. In common with all of our nursing care homes, Firtree House has adopted the Gold Standards Framework, widely accepted as the benchmark for end of life care.
Facilities
Firtree House care home offers a full range of nursing care support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents of the retirement home are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. Firtree House operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. In common with all of our care homes, Firtree House’s manager has a qualified nursing background. The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation. The combination of all of these factors coupled with the dedicated, round the clock work of the staff has garnered Firtree House a deserved reputation as one of the finest care homes in Tunbridge Wells.

Life in a Caring Home is viewed as a continuum of life – an opportunity to gain new experiences and learn new things – whilst maintaining your existing hobbies and interests.
At every Caring Home, there is a dedicated activities co-ordinator who is on hand to support residents in learning new hobbies and maintaining existing ones.
An activities programme is developed by the activities co-ordinators who work in conjunction with the clinical team in reviewing each individuals occupational interests and tailoring an activities programme that addresses them.
