Located in the village of Liss, this Hampshire care home provides residential and specialist dementia care for up to 35 elderly people in a unique setting. In addition to the main home there are seven cottages and two apartments, all arranged around a central lawn, creating a wonderful Village Green location.
Residents of the cottages and apartments, while maintaining a more independent lifestyle, are also able to make use of the many communal facilities at East Hill House as and when needed. These include a wide range of communal activities, a hairdressing suite and dining of a standard normally associated with the finest hotels.
East Hill House’s dementia care provision has been designed to meet the University of Stirling’s universally respected dementia care standards. Stirling’s Dementia Services Development Centre is renowned as the world leader in this field. The Stirling approach ensures that residents are able to move freely around the home, with bedrooms and communal areas appropriately laid out and clearly signposted to minimise confusion or disorientation.
East Hill House is ideally equipped to provide residential support for elderly people living with different types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia.
East Hill House offers a full range of residential care support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. East Hill House operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. In common with all of our homes, East Hill House’s manager has a qualified nursing background. The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO 9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation.
