Coxhill Manor is a characterful country house benefitting from a peaceful and secluded location on the outskirts of Chobham, near Woking in Surrey. This fine Victorian home has been sympathetically converted to provide residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 60 discerning elderly residents. Recent additions include a number of delightful garden rooms, affording wonderful views over the grounds.

Coxhill Manor retains a myriad of period features, from stained glass and leaded windows, to parquet flooring, original fireplaces and rooms with fine high ceilings. The home strikes an ideal balance between providing accommodation of distinction and creating a convivial atmosphere. Residents can relax in elegant day rooms, enjoy fine dining in the two restaurant-style dining rooms or chat over a latte at the coffee bar.

Coxhill Manor is ideally placed to meet residents’ changing care needs. The home offers a true care pathway, from residential support to dedicated dementia care. Specialist interior design helps to ensure that residents are able to move freely around the home, with bedrooms and communal areas appropriately laid out and clearly signposted to minimise confusion or disorientation.

Coxhill Manor is fully equipped to provide residential support for elderly people living with different types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and Korsacoff’s syndrome. However, staff never lose sight of the fact that, first and foremost, Coxhill Manor is home to our residents.

The home offers a full range of residential, nursing and specialist dementia support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. Coxhill Manor operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. In common with all of our homes, Coxhill Manor’s manager has a qualified nursing background. The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation.

Life in a Caring Home is viewed as a continuum of life – an opportunity to gain new experiences and learn new things – whilst maintaining your existing hobbies and interests.

At every Caring Home, there is a dedicated activities co-ordinator who is on hand to support residents in learning new hobbies and maintaining existing ones.

An activities programme is developed by the activities co-ordinators who work in conjunction with the clinical team in reviewing each individuals occupational interests and tailoring an activities programme that addresses them.

For further information about activities please visit our “living with us” section.

"Mum has been a resident of Coxhill for over six months now. I really cannot fault the care mum is receiving. The staff work so hard to make sure mum keeps her dignity. So important. The resident cat Hodge also helps mum to feel that Coxhill is home. Thank you Coxhill for making my mum's day as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Mum enjoys the company of the friends she has made. So much better than sitting at home on her own waiting for people to break up the loneliness she was suffering with." -

"The staff appear to excel in sometimes very difficult situations, and strive to maintain a calm and happy environment. On two occasions my mother has been brought to Coxhill from hospital in extremely low physical and mental state, yet due to the excellent care from all the staff has improved remarkably well once back at Coxhill. She clearly thrives on the kindness, attention and pleasing environment, there... carehomes.co.uk" -

"My mum arrived at Coxhill in a depressed state of mind, she didn't want to live on her own any more. My sister and I (along with help from our other siblings) had done our best but couldn't be there 24/7. The care of the home has been outstanding. The food served so thoughtfully and tempting. My mother has become more confident and happy in herself. She has made friends and the family have become family instead of carers... carehomes.co.uk" -

"Coxhill is a beautiful house in a quiet setting with very nice grounds. It was highly recommended and while not cheap offered a very high level of service. That turned out to be true and it offers generally very friendly staff, a well maintained facility and really good quality food. Shortly after she arrived a new manager was installed. He has consistently worked to improve things in a multitude of ways... carehomes.co.uk" -

"My father was at Coxhill for 16 months until he passed away and now my mother is there. She is well looked after, has a lovely room and there is always a friendly face, both staff and residents, so she is never lonely. The staff make a point of getting to know relatives too. Not an easy subject to talk about but so important - the end of life care my father received was outstanding. It was a very difficult time for us but the care he received was wonderful and very personal... carehomes.co.uk" -
