Caring for the nation's families

Keeping well when you're at home

During this difficult period, our priority is to continue, to keep our residents safe and well. We have launched a new wellbeing programme and additional technology in all our homes so residents can live stream content including interactive sessions to keep them engaged and stimulated. We’ve already had lots of variety with virtual performances from local groups, online baking and reminiscence days with a good old sing song.

We know that people at home may feel bored, frustrated or lonely. Here are some tips and advice from the NHS on things you can do now to help you keep on top of your mental wellbeing and cope with how you may feel while staying at home. And if you would like to discuss a short respite stay with us, please get in touch.

Keep up to date with news from all our homes and follow our Caring Homes
Facebook page.

Bringing something extra to our residents

As we can't accept visitors at present, we're looking for additional ways of supporting residents with extra fun and interesting virtual activities.

  • Do you offer virtual activities that you would like to share or you'd like to volunteer?
  • Do you have a hobby or interest to share with our residents?
  • Would you be happy to give a virtual talk, perhaps you’re a musician and could provide a live musical concert, an artist that can take a virtual art class or perhaps virtually teach a new language to our residents?

If you think that you could help, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact us on [email protected]

We’re proud to be part of the local community

In these unprecedented times we wanted to share some of our special moments with you including how our residents have been enjoying some of their favourite activities and hobbies both in the home and outside in our enclosed gardens. We know how important it is to stay connected so our teams and residents have been keeping in daily contact with families and friends with lots of letters as well as Skype and Facetime!

We thank the local community for their support including gifts for our residents and teams to enjoy including cards, flowers and chocolates.

Here's some of our special moments and you can see our latest news from all our homes on Facebook.
