We also enjoyed a selection of mouth-watering cupcakes, iced buns and chocolate chip muffins and of course, a cuppa or two.A cake was also kindly donated by a resident’s relative and we invited everyone to play ‘Guess the Weight.’ They commented: “How lovely it was to hold such a great event and we were very pleased to help support by providing the cake for the competition.”Margaret, a resident was thrilled to win the ‘Guess the Weight’ cake competition and generously shared the cake with our other residents.Dementia UK’s ‘Time for a Cuppa’ takes place between 1st – 8th March every year with the aim to raise the funds that will help them reach their target of providing 200 Admiral Nurses by April for people facing dementia. So, with that in mind and as a nursing home providing the highest standard of care for our residents living with dementia, what better excuse to invite our families, friends and members of our team to join us, socialise and enjoy a nice cup of tea and cake at our home whilst supporting Dementia UK.The event was a huge success and we are proud to say we raised £50.00 for this great cause.
