The Pines supports The Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning

The Pines were delighted to host a ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning' at our home today.This event is run by Macmillan and is their biggest fundraising event for people dealing with cancer.When: 21st September Where: 104 West Hill, Putney, Wandsworth, London SW15 2UQOur friends, relatives families and members of our team helped bake a selection of mouth-watering cakes and pastries for all of us to enjoy and we were all eagerly looking forward to our event. Some members of our team from overseas even made speciality cakes from their homelands so we had a multicultural selection on offer and it was great to experience new tastes.We all gathered together to enjoy and savour all the cakes we baked and of course have a nice cup of coffee. We also had fun playing “Guess how many spots are on the cake” and the son of one of our relatives won the competition. We were thrilled when he donated his winnings to our coffee morning. The mother of our Receptionist was also delighted to win the 'Best Baker' badge. Competition was very high but her cake was truly delicious and a well deserved prize.We are very happy that we could help and we are glad to say that our efforts raised £196.52 and all of us at The Pines are very proud to be supporting a worthwhile organisation such as Macmillan.People all over the UK will be hosting their own coffee mornings and funds from our event will be donated with great pride from all who participated so they may continue their great work providing practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.If you would like to find out more about life and/or our events at The Pines, please contact us on [email protected] or telephone 0808 223 5542.[gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="15434,15431,15428,15429"]
